Creating Learning without Limits
and
Ensuring Excellence
Our equality objectives are:
- To promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through all appropriate curricular and extra-curricular opportunities . We aim to meet this objective with particular reference to issues of equality and diversity.
- To reduce prejudice and increase understanding of equality through direct teaching across the curriculum.
- To promote cultural development and understanding through a rich range of experience, both in and beyond the school.
- To eradicate prejudice related bullying in relation to the protected characteristics listed in the Equality Act 2010.
- To tackle prejudice and promote understanding in relation to people with disabilities.
Every year we review our policy and also focus on 3 key areas. In 2023/24 these areas are:
Objective 1: To ensure that the achievement of EAL pupils is at the same level or above that of their peers in school and those nationally.
Objective 2: To raise the profile of disadvantaged pupils, reducing the attainment gap between them and their peers.
Objective 3: To increase the engagement of pupils with SEND.
