I am an experienced school governor, who is delighted to be leading the governing board at Heathcote. I have been Chair since 2018, and a Community Governor since we opened. I work as an analytical manager at National Grid ESO and am married with two young children. My focus key areas are supporting the school’s senior leaders with coaching and mentoring, HR and the effectiveness of the governing board. I also take a keen eye in mathematics and Early Years. I also volunteer in scouting and am now leading on large-scale events for up to 4000 young people in Warwickshire, as well as supporting my local group and work on training adult volunteers

  • Mr Ben Moses

    Community Governor and Vice Chair

I’ve been a Community Governor at Heathcote Primary School since 2018 and held additional responsibilities for Safeguarding since early 2019. I’m keen to ensure that every child has a safe and engaging environment where they can learn and grow. In my professional life I’m an Enterprise Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and I get to use many of my professional skills to enable the school to grow and excel. I have a background in Science, Maths and Computing so will be looking to work with the school to volunteer my skills wherever I can.

  • Mr Mark Swift

    Community Governor

As a local resident, I see Heathcote Primary School as an important part of our, relatively new, community and I am proud to have this opportunity as my first governor position. Having moved to the area in late 2017 I was keen to play an active part in supporting our community and I joined the board of governors in the second half of 2018. My focus areas are overseeing the school’s financial budgeting and supporting the leadership team through the joint creation and monitoring of key academic and development objectives.

I work as a sales director for a large construction products company, live with my partner Clare, and between us we have three sons, two of which are at university. In my spare time I play bass guitar in 2 bands.

  • Mr Paul Lacey

    Parent Governor

I am delighted to introduce myself as one of the Parent Governors. I am father to three and my youngest attends Heathcote Primary, she started in 2019 shortly after we moved into Warwick Gates.

I bring to the role a significant depth of experience in commercial property management, project management and commercial finance.

As a Parent Governor I have a desire to help the school continue to provide excellence in education and ensure that the best possible opportunities and experiences are available equally for our children.

  • Mrs Caroline Vickerstaff

    Community Governor

I am a community governor, having joined the school in 2019. As a local resident, I see how important the school play as a vital leader, supporter and centre for our community in Warwick Gates and the wider area and want to help support that. I look forward to assisting the school through its physical and emotional growth over the coming years. Having become a first-time parent in 2020, it only further encourages me to help support the school in creating a robust, fun and supportive Early Years foundation for the pupils.

I am a Chartered Surveyor with over a decade of experience in commercial property management. I look forward to helping the school through my experience and knowledge to further their development and site facilities.

  • Mr James Stacey

    Parent Governor

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as one of the Parent Governors. My wife and I have been residents of the local area for 15 years and since my son (aged 5) joined Heathcote Primary School I have been keen to support the school in its development. I joined the Board of Governors in late 2019 and continue to be impressed by the community focussed aspect of school life.

For the past 3 years I have worked as a Head of Department for the local Further Education College having previously been a Head of Curriculum and Class Teacher in a Secondary School in Birmingham. This experience of education can be invaluable however no two schools are the same especially when they cater for different age groups.

I hope to be able to help the school to continue to thrive especially as the school and local area are growing. It is a very exciting time for our children and the school.
